Looking to get the money off your Credit Builder Card?* Fun fact: funds you can spend on your Credit Builder Card don’t actually live on your card – that’s what makes it a credit builder card and not a prepaid card. Instead, those funds are your security deposit, which becomes the credit limit for your Credit Builder Card.
There are a couple of ways to access the funds from your security deposit (besides spending on your card!) 👇
How can I get funds off of my Credit Builder Card?
You can use your Credit Builder Card to withdraw 90% of your credit limit from an ATM (plus some fees) in the form of a “card cash advance,” or you can transfer funds with CashApp.
In both of these cases, you're not really taking money off your card – you're withdrawing funds from your security deposit. The amount you withdraw or transfer will be paid back with the funds you have already put into your security deposit.
How do I use my Credit Builder Card at an ATM?
You’ll need your physical Credit Builder Card and PIN.
Just keep in mind:
You can withdraw 90% of your credit limit at a time from an ATM – basically, you can’t take your whole balance out in cash
You’ll be charged $2.50 to use your card at an ATM, plus any fees from the ATM provider itself
How do I transfer funds from my Credit Builder Card to CashApp?
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to transfer funds from your Credit Builder Card to your own CashApp account. You can, however, send money to friends and family via CashApp.
Make sure you have a debit card linked to your CashApp account
Connect your Credit Builder Card to your CashApp
Transfer from your Credit Builder Card to the CashApp account of the person you would like to pay
Is there a limit to how much I can transfer to CashApp?
CashApp transfer limits are similar to ATM limits (around 90%) to prevent fraud. If your transaction has been declined, try again with a smaller amount. Btw, you’re limited to 2 CashApp transfers a day. ✌️
Who can I transfer Builder Card funds to with CashApp?
You can transfer funds with CashApp to friends and family (if they also have CashApp accounts). You are not able to transfer funds to yourself.
Are there any restrictions on transferring Builder Card funds with CashApp?
Yes 👀 You can’t use CashApp to transfer funds to anyone outside of friends and family.
That means you can’t use your Credit Builder Card with CashApp for 👇
