How are my funds and investments protected?

You want to know how your money and investments are protected

Who actually holds my money and investments?

Cleo doesn't hold your money or investments. Your account, cash, and securities are held by Atomic Brokerage LLC, a broker-dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC.

Cleo builds the in-app experience. Atomic Invest manages your portfolio, and Atomic Brokerage places your trades and maintains your account.

Does SIPC protection apply to me?

SIPC, the Securities Investor Protection Corporation protects customers of brokerage firms that fail.

Atomic Brokerage LLC is a member of SIPC. SIPC protects securities customers of its members up to $500,000, including $250,000 for claims for cash. An explanatory brochure is available upon request or at www.sipc.org.

SIPC protection applies if a member brokerage firm fails and customer assets are missing. It is not insurance against a decline in the value of your investments, and coverage is subject to SIPC’s rules and limits.

What does SIPC not cover?

SIPC does not protect you against investment losses or a decline in the value of your investments. Your investments are not FDIC insured, are not bank guaranteed, and may lose value. Investment advisory accounts are not FDIC insured.
